Misba | Writer & Artist

I paint fantasy worlds, I do Yoga, I practice Wing Chun in an wooden dummy. Recently, I found a piano in a dumpster. If I can master my favourite classical piece with it, I’ll get myself a good piano. I get tired sometimes doing all these. But I'm never tired when I'm writing KUSHA or creating its arts. WELCOME TO MY BLOG! Here, you'll find what's have been there already, what I'm recently doing, and what's coming in the near future...

A deeper truth coils around it. Then there’s the Security Tower—always watching, constantly advising, with food in one hand and whip in the other. The search for her past takes the Intuitionist to look for the Equation of God, a research banned for everyone except for the WSI, World Security Intelligence. They have secretly created the Sublime. Some call it the Doomsday Machine; others whisper it’s the Eye of God. They make her sleep for looking into banned books. ABOUT MISBA

When I'm talking to clients, clients who ask me to draw for them, I tell them I'm an artist. When I critique and talk to authors, I say I'm a writer. When I review books, I say I'm a reader. When I was in China, I used to say I'm a Kung Fu student whenever the town people asked me who I am and what I'm doing in the poorest city of the province of China. When I was sewing my own wedding dress and my mother-in-law, my cousins, and everyone else were trying to convince me not to: "Don't do it. What if it gets ruined? It's your special day! Don't take the risk." I told them, "I'm a fashion designer, and a bad dress can't ruin a wedding. How could something so material ruin something so abstract?" I asked. I got no answer. Well, I never designed or sewed a dress for others. Not yet. (Not counting the ones meant as gifts). But in that month of my wedding, I was a fashion designer and makeup artist. Yes, I did my own makeup that...

WHY DOES YOUR PROSE SOUND CONFUSING?

You’re a writer of fiction. And like every smart fiction-creator, you make other writers critique your piece. And then, you face that issue that everyone else faces. That is: no one is completely ‘understanding’ what’s happening on the page. You think they are not reading. You think they are skimming. You think they are not ‘your’ genre readers maybe. You don’t want to see the real issue. The real issue is: Human mind and the reader’s psychology towards something new. Let me tell you, the best and most successful books are the accessible ones, which all genre and age category readers can read and enjoy. How do the authors do it? They make the early pages welcoming and understandable. The first experience into your world must not be clumsy or bumpy or hard or confusing. Now ... Why they are bumping?

Book 3: The Cheat Code; Chapter 1: The Canvas of Death

1. The Canvas of Death W hat is worst about death is its mysteries. Not the ones about when it may happen or how it will come to you, or what it will feel like, no. It’s rather in what conditions someone would leave, what art the death would cause, and what details the art may have. You know the sort of details like how the skin would fade, how the shades of brown will turn worm grey or green, and how prana will leave the body. Like a poof? Like a whoosh? Like a bang? Or like a stealthy slithering snake? Most important: what will you smell like? “What will I smell like?” Ruem, the Mesmerizer, mutters. Good people will smell like heavens, they say, like the nectar of roses or mist in a meadow or honey in the ocean. Oceans in heaven are made of honey, no joke. And bad people will smell like rotten roaches. Another law in the universe God coded while creating it all. In the lounge of Kuhawk, Ruem, the Mesmerizer, doesn’t see any color of death, bu...

Book 4 The Sleep Waves; Chapter 1:

1. The Nun with Voodoo Dolls Y ou meet three kinds of people before death. One kind orders food at a restaurant and says it gently if the order is wrong. The second kind is the nasty kind. As you’ve guessed, they’re far from being gentle. They scream; they whine; they call the manager and make a scene of it all. They exist to prove they exist. The third kind, however, swallows the wrong order without making a sound. They’ll tell you it’s fine, that it’s not a problem at all. That this dish is also delicious, but the truth is they can’t tell that they’ve been wronged. They sure can’t tell that they want someone to see their misery, perhaps even get them the correct order without making scenes. Somehow, they might even believe that they’re being kind to the manager! Confrontation is impossible for some, and the Intuitionist belongs to this ‘some.’ So when the first day in Alphatech arrives like another divorc...
