Working on THE FIRST STORIES OF MANKIND: The Story of Ibraheem and Namrud

It’s Picture Book. I’d prefer saying Picture Book rather than childrens’ book. It has those few lines or a paragraph of text, that page number with visible size fonts, along with those sketches, of course. About the sketches—I wasn’t cautious about not showing fire or catapults or swarms of mosquitoes. One could suggest it for children too. Because these are the prophets’ stories, true stories, events that happened in the real world. It’s the stories that believers begin learning since their childhood. Because these are the stories that keep repeating—sometimes, in our smaller lives in smaller petals, and other times, in the wider views, in our larger lives where many arrive back in those petals of the sunflower. It’s a Picture Book.

I was working on the illustrations and sketches of picture books in the past few months. There is no chronology that I wanted to maintain for the series “THE FIRST STORIES OF MANKIND”—like you need to read this title first or that next to maintain order. No. Rather I’d say this title ‘THE STORY OF IBRAHEEM AND NAMRUD’ along with another title that I’m still working on ‘THE STORY OF IBLIS’ are mentioned in my scififantasy series “WISDOM REVOLUTION.” ‘STORY OF IBLIS’ was mentioned in ‘THE CHEAT CODE’ and that too wasn’t for promotional reasons. The books of the series ‘First Stories of Mankind’ didn’t exist except in my scififantasy world. And I needed to ‘tell’ the prophet stories in short, but I preferred them as separate books to keep the transition and story flow working. You could keep them as complementary books with the scififantasy series that I’m writing, but as a believer I don’t call the prophet stories fantasies or scifi. Those are part of true events that happened in history according to the faith I follow. There is even a reference page included at the end of the book including verses from Quran.

With ‘THE SLEEP WAVES’ on the way, I wanted to wrap up at least two of the picture books I’ve mentioned in my books in 2023.

Long ago, I said in one of my tier that I’ll try to post regularly, which I couldn’t, and I also said I’ll try to post about what I’m currently working on at least if I can’t be regular in my Writing School. Well, I was illustrating and sketching along with day-logging and bookmaking—sometimes even baking cookies and cakes and soaps. That soap baking needed my apron from school days’—it has acid marks from fourteen years ago.

Here you go, while my soap cures, take a sneak peek into some pages of the first picture book of mine, though it’s not the first picture book I have worked on. I used to work on picture books before when I was artist for more hours in the week than a writer.

The other thing I’m working on is making the hard cover books of “THE SLEEP WAVES” at home on my own since I’m still trying to bake things logo free and cult-influence free. But these days the devils speak and claim things in my head. But hey, faith is with Allah as long as Allah sees and knows what I’m doing.

I am posting tiers about my work. You can check them.

Have a great year end and a new year!
